Deputy Partners with Sydney Fringe: Powering the People Who Bring the Festival to Life

Sydney, Australia – September 16, 2024 — Deputy, the global people platform for hourly work, has announced its official partnership with the Sydney Fringe Festival, the largest independent arts festival in New South Wales. The collaboration supports the festival's backbone — the volunteers and staff — who work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the event to life.

The Sydney Fringe Festival will present over 450 events across 70 venues throughout Greater Sydney. With Deputy's platform, the festival can seamlessly manage the scheduling and rostering of its 160 volunteers and venue managers, ensuring smooth coordination across all locations.

"As a small but mighty team, partnerships like this make a huge difference to our festival rollout. Our volunteers and festival staff are the lifeblood of our festival, and having a centralised place to look after them is imperative. We are delighted to be working with Deputy on this," Kerri Glasscock, CEO & Festival Director of the Sydney Fringe Festival, said.

Deputy’s platform is integral to the festival’s operations. It allows venue managers and volunteers to coordinate across multiple locations, such as the Cabaret Hub at Kings Cross Hotel and the Village Green Festival Garden. The software simplifies team scheduling and communication, enabling the festival team to focus on creating a memorable experience for attendees.

"Deputy is proud to partner with the Sydney Fringe Festival to power the people who bring this vibrant event to life” said Emma Seymour, CFO of Deputy on the partnership. “Our platform ensures that volunteers and staff can focus on delivering a world-class experience for attendees while we handle the logistics behind the scenes. Supporting festivals like Sydney Fringe aligns with our vision to see thriving workplaces in every community – and reflects Deputy’s ongoing commitment to empowering teams in the arts and cultural sectors who play such an important role within those communities.”
